Our History
Thrive was established in March 2015 by a group of young women who used to convene regularly for a book club. After reading the thought-provoking book “Thrive”, the team resolved to make a difference in their community and established Thrive as a community-based organization in Kenya. This Local Non-profit was formed with a mission to address the present human trafficking problem in Kenya and help to encourage, equip, and mentor young women.
Our Founders
Our founders, a group of dedicated young women, came together with a shared vision to combat modern slavery. Inspired by a book club, they transformed their passion into action, creating a foundation that stands for human dignity and freedom.
Their commitment and courage established the core values of Set Free to Thrive: a victim-centered approach, compassion, and a belief in the power of collective action. Their legacy continues to guide our work today.
